9 months old

a day in the life of a 9 month old...

i've got that hand-eye coordination thing figured out now. instead of scooping my snacks, i pick stuff up [most importantly food...] with my fingers!!

i clap [one-handed. would that be a slap then??] on anything and everything that makes noise.

i finally like using my sippy cup. no more help from the 'rents needed, thank you very much.

i play peek-a-boo as much as possible. using the shower curtain is the best!!

tell me to dance, and i will. gladly.

oh, and i sing too :)

8 months old

guess what guys!! i pull myself up in my crib, the furniture - you name it. this scares my mommy...

Look at me! I'm 6 months old!

October Milestones: Watch out people... I'm 'bout to start crawlin'

• 10/8/09 - my first experience eating rice cereal... I LOVE IT!! I make loud hungry, hungry baby noises (grunting and panting) and jump around in my bouncy to let mom know I want another bite :)
  
• 10/13/09 - realized that rolling over onto my stomach will eventually lead me to crawling. I've been trying SO HARD for the past week to get my knees underneath my body - all thanks to my Grandpa Patrick showing me that it is possible. I'm almost there!!
  
• 10/19/09 - first time eating carrots. Not as much love (as for rice cereal) for these, but I'll eat them anyway because I'll eat just about anything my parents give me at this point - including clothing and body parts.
  
• 10/20/09 - not really a milestone, but I put my foot through my footed monster pjs... baby with super powers? I think so :)
  

5 months...

Today I am 5 months old, and it seems like I'm hitting a milestone a day! Here are a few little things that I've been up to:

• Sitting up on my own. Mommy helps me with this everyday. She claims it helps with my balance and development... little does she know, I'm using the skills to start moving around on my own (i.e. crawling). She really has no clue what she's getting herself into.
• (Been doing this for awhile, but) Recognizing my bottle as food. Give it to me now!
• Holding my bottle while eating. This is so much better than someone else doing it for you. I have the control - all the control!
• Screaming. I don't do it when I'm sad - just when I'm happy. Get's the 'rents attention 9 times out of 10. They think it's cute... for now.
• Grabbing the kitty's fur. It really does look like it tastes good. Not so much though.
